Black Hawk State Park: Hauberg Indian Museum and Local CCC Projects (Moline) -- Sat, Apr 22, 2017 (ONE DAY EVENT) The Hauberg Indian Museum, located in the lodge constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1934, interprets the story of the Sauk and Meskwaki. During the visit, participants will learn about the Sark and Meskawki in the area and the role of the Native Americans in the history of the area. The visit will also take a look at the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Depression, what was the CCC, and how did it help the area. This will be followed by research on the Library of Congress website to deepen content knowledge and locate relative primary sources in a variety of formats.
